   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the left side of the device. Push firmly to pop out the tray, then remove it completely.

   Warm the back cover adhesive

   Apply heat to the outer edges of the rear cover using a heat gun set to low for about two minutes. This softens the factory adhesive holding the cover in place.

   Attach the suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the softened rear glass. Pull up firmly on the ring to create a small separation gap.

   Slice the rear panel adhesive

   Insert a thin plastic pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slide the pick around all four edges to slice through the adhesive seal.

   Remove the back cover

   Carefully lift the rear cover off the chassis. Set it aside on a clean work surface.

   Unscrew the top bracket

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all visible screws securing the upper motherboard cover.

   Pry off the motherboard bracket

   Insert the flat end of a spudger under the plastic bracket edge. Gently lever it upward to unclip and remove the shield.

   Disconnect the battery flex cable

   Use a plastic spudger to pry the battery connector straight up from its socket on the logic board. Disconnecting power prevents electrical shorts during repair.

   Unplug the display connector

   Locate the wide display ribbon cable on the lower section of the motherboard. Pry the press connector straight up to disconnect it.

    Disconnect the main interconnect cable

    Use the spudger to detach the main ribbon cable that links the bottom daughterboard to the motherboard.

    Detach the camera modules

    Disconnect the front and rear camera flex connectors from the logic board using tweezers or a spudger. Lift the camera sensors out of their housings if required.

    Disconnect antenna coaxial cables

    Gently pry the heads of the white and black antenna cables up from their logic board sockets using fine tweezers.

    Remove the logic board screw

    Locate and remove the single Phillips screw anchoring the logic board to the internal frame.

    Lift out the logic board

    Insert a spudger beneath the corner of the logic board and gently pry upward. Remove the board from the chassis without snagging any cables.

    Position the new logic board

    Lower the replacement logic board into the phone frame at an angle. Make sure all camera cutouts align properly and no underlying cables are trapped.

    Reconnect antenna and display cables

    Press the antenna coaxial connectors firmly into place until they snap. Reattach the display and interconnect press connectors to their sockets.

    Plug in the battery flex cable

    Align the battery press connector over its motherboard socket and press straight down until it clicks into place.

    Reinstall the motherboard bracket

    Place the top plastic bracket back onto the upper phone housing. Replace and tighten all Phillips screws to secure it.
