   Power Off the Phone

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the hole next to the tray on the left edge. Push firmly to eject the tray and remove it completely.

   Heat the Back Cover

   Apply warm air using a heat gun or hair dryer around the outer perimeter of the back panel for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the underlying adhesive.

   Attach the Suction Cup

   Press the suction cup tool firmly onto the lower portion of the rear panel, near the bottom seam.

   Slice the Back Cover Adhesive

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a slight gap between the rear cover and frame. Insert a plastic prying pick into the gap.

   Lift Away the Back Cover

   Slide the prying pick around all four edges to slice through the adhesive. Carefully lift off the back cover and set it aside.

   Unscrew the Upper Midframe

   Use a Phillips #000 precision screwdriver to remove all screws securing the top motherboard bracket.

   Remove the Upper Midframe Cover

   Insert a spudger underneath the edge of the plastic midframe shield and gently pry it up to remove it from the device.

   Disconnect the Battery Cable

   Pry the battery press connector directly up from its motherboard socket using the flat edge of a spudger.

    Unscrew the Lower Speaker Enclosure

    Remove the Phillips #000 screws holding down the lower speaker housing over the charging port assembly.

    Remove the Speaker Enclosure

    Insert your spudger under the speaker module and carefully lever it out of the lower chassis.

    Disconnect the Interconnect Flex Cable

    Use a spudger to pop the main display and daughterboard flex cable connector off of the lower sub-board.

    Disconnect the Antenna Cable

    Use tweezers to carefully lift the coaxial antenna cable connector off its socket on the charging port board.

    Pry Up the Charging Port Board

    Slide a thin plastic prying tool beneath the edge of the charging port board to free it from the housing adhesive, then remove it.

    Install the New Charging Port Board

    Place the replacement charging port daughterboard into the lower recess, pressing down lightly so it sits flush.

    Reconnect the Antenna Cable

    Position the coaxial antenna cable head over its socket on the new board and press down gently until it clicks into place.

    Reconnect the Interconnect Flex Cable

    Align the main ribbon flex connector over its socket on the charging port board and press firmly to seat it.

    Reinstall the Speaker Enclosure

    Lower the speaker assembly back into the chassis and replace the Phillips #000 screws to secure it.

    Reconnect the Battery Cable

    Align the battery flex connector over the motherboard header and press down to reconnect power.

    Reattach the Upper Midframe

    Set the plastic motherboard shield in place and secure it using the previously removed Phillips screws.

    Seal the Back Cover

    Apply fresh precut adhesive strips along the perimeter, align the rear cover on the frame, and press firmly to seal.
