Power off the device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen to completely turn off the phone.

Remove the SIM card tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left frame and push firmly to pop the tray out.

Heat the back cover
2 minUse a heat gun or hair dryer on low power to warm the outer edges of the rear cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach the suction cup
1 minPlace a suction cup near the lower edge of the rear panel and pull upward gently to create a thin gap.

Insert an opening pick
1 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap between the rear glass cover and the plastic frame.

Slice the perimeter adhesive
3 minCarefully slide the opening pick around all four sides of the phone to cut through the factory adhesive tape.

Slightly lift the back cover
1 minGently tilt open the back cover from the right side, taking care not to strain the attached fingerprint sensor cable.

Disconnect the fingerprint sensor
1 minUse a plastic spudger to pry up the fingerprint sensor flex cable connector directly from the circuit board.

Remove the back cover
1 minSet the back panel aside on a clean surface free of dust and debris.

Unscrew the loudspeaker bracket
2 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws holding down the lower loudspeaker housing.

Pry up the loudspeaker module
1 minInsert the flat end of a spudger under the notch of the loudspeaker housing and gently pry it upward.

Remove the old loudspeaker
1 minLift the loudspeaker assembly out of the phone frame and set it aside.

Install the new loudspeaker
1 minAlign the replacement loudspeaker module with the lower housing cavity and press it firmly into position.

Secure the loudspeaker screws
2 minReinstall and tighten the Phillips #00 screws to firmly secure the loudspeaker module to the chassis.

Reconnect the fingerprint sensor flex
1 minAlign the fingerprint sensor flex cable over its connector on the board and press gently until it clicks into place.

Apply fresh rear adhesive
2 minClean remaining old glue with isopropyl alcohol, then apply pre-cut adhesive strips along the perimeter frame.

Reattach the back cover
2 minAlign the back cover over the phone and press down firmly around all edges to secure the seal.

Reinsert the SIM tray
1 minPush the SIM card tray back into its slot on the left frame until it sits flush.
