Step-by-step
- 1
Power Off the Phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

Remove the SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the left edge of the phone. Push inward firmly to eject the tray and pull it out.

Heat the Rear Cover
2 minApply a heated iOpener or heat gun around the perimeter of the back cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Slice the Rear Adhesive
4 minAttach a suction cup near the bottom edge and pull up gently to create a small gap. Insert an opening pick and slide it along the edges to cut through the glue.

Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor Cable
2 minSlightly lift the back cover from the right edge without pulling forcefully. Use tweezers to carefully detach the fingerprint sensor flex cable from the main board.

Unscrew Lower Speaker Assembly
2 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the five screws securing the bottom speaker cover assembly.

Remove the Speaker Module
1 minInsert a plastic spudger under the lip of the speaker module and pry upward to remove it from the lower frame.

Disconnect Sub-Board Flex
1 minUse the flat end of a spudger to pry up and disconnect the main interconnect flex cable from the daughterboard.

Unplug Antenna Coaxial Cable
1 minGently pry up the antenna coaxial cable connector from the daughterboard using precision tweezers.

Remove Microphone Sub-Board
2 minInsert a flat pry tool under the bottom sub-board, which houses the primary microphone, and gently lift it out of the phone body.

Insert Replacement Sub-Board
2 minAlign the replacement microphone daughterboard into the bottom chassis recess and press it gently into position.

Reconnect Internal Cables
2 minSnap the antenna coaxial cable back onto its terminal on the new board, then press down the main interconnect flex cable connector until it clicks.

Secure Speaker Module
2 minPlace the speaker assembly back over the bottom sub-board and reinstall the five Phillips #00 screws.

Reseal Back Cover
3 minReconnect the fingerprint flex cable, apply fresh adhesive strips to the phone perimeter, and press the back cover firmly onto the device.
