Step-by-step

Power off device
1 minCompletely turn off your Motorola Moto G60 before beginning disassembly.

Eject SIM card tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge of the phone to remove the card tray.

Heat rear cover
2 minApply heat to the edges of the back cover with a heat gun for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Slice back panel adhesive
4 minAttach a suction cup near the bottom, pull upward, and slide plastic opening picks around the perimeter.

Disconnect fingerprint sensor
2 minCarefully tilt the back panel up and use tweezers to detach the fingerprint sensor connector from the board.

Unscrew upper motherboard shield
3 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the 11 screws holding down the plastic motherboard cover.

Remove motherboard shield
2 minPry up the plastic cover from its edges with a spudger and lift it clear of the frame.

Disconnect battery press connector
1 minUse the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry the battery flex cable directly up from its socket.

Disconnect display and main flex cables
2 minUnplug the main screen flex ribbon and the sub-board interconnect ribbon cable from the logic board.

Disconnect antenna cables
2 minUse fine tweezers to gently pop the black and white coaxial antenna cables off their logic board headers.

Remove selfie camera
2 minDisconnect the front-facing camera ribbon and lift the module out of the logic board housing.

Remove logic board screw
1 minUnscrew the single Phillips screw securing the logic board to the inner chassis.

Pry out logic board
2 minInsert a spudger under the bottom corner of the logic board and lift it gently out of the frame.

Seat replacement logic board
2 minPlace the new logic board into the phone frame, aligning the cameras and screw holes.

Reconnect flex cables and antennas
3 minPress down firmly on the display cable, interconnect cable, and antenna heads until they click into place.

Reattach battery and upper shield
4 minPlug in the battery connector, place the upper cover over the board, and replace all 11 Phillips screws.
