   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the tray on the left edge. Push firmly to eject the tray and remove it completely.

   Heat the rear cover

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer around the outer edges of the rear cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive beneath.

   Attach the suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear cover and pull up gently to create a slight gap.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created between the rear cover and the frame.

   Slice the rear adhesive

   Slide the opening pick around all four edges of the back panel to cut through the perimeter adhesive.

   Remove the rear cover

   Lift the rear cover straight off the frame and set it aside in a safe location.

   Unscrew the midframe cover

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all screws securing the upper and lower plastic midframe covers.

   Pry off the midframe

   Insert a spudger under the edge of the midframe housing and unclip it around the perimeter to remove it.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry the battery flex cable connector straight up from the motherboard.

    Disconnect the display flex cable

    Unplug the main display cable press connector from the motherboard using your spudger.

    Heat the front display

    Apply heat evenly across the front glass screen for two to three minutes to loosen the screen adhesive.

    Apply suction cup to front glass

    Press the suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the cracked screen assembly.

    Slice the display adhesive

    Pull up on the suction cup, insert a pick under the display, and slide along all four borders to cut the adhesive.

    Remove the damaged display

    Carefully guide the screen's flex cable through the frame slot and lift the display assembly away.

    Clean residual adhesive

    Scrape away old adhesive strips from the frame rim using a spudger and clean with isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply new adhesive strips

    Place fresh double-sided adhesive strips along the entire perimeter ledge of the inner frame.

    Feed new display cable through frame

    Thread the flex cable of the replacement display panel through the slot in the front frame.

    Align and seat the new screen

    Align the replacement screen evenly within the frame and press firmly around the edges to set the adhesive.

    Connect the display flex cable

    Press the display cable connector down onto the motherboard socket until it snaps firmly into place.

    Align and press the battery connector onto its motherboard socket.

    Reinstall the midframe assembly

    Position the plastic midframe over the body and snap the perimeter clips into place.

    Secure the midframe screws

    Reinstall and tighten all Phillips #00 screws into the plastic midframe.

    Apply back cover adhesive

    Apply pre-cut double-sided tape along the perimeter of the rear chassis frame.

    Align the rear cover with the frame edges and press down firmly around all sides to seal it.
