Step-by-step

Power Down Device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is entirely shut down before starting.

Eject SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the left edge of the phone. Push firmly to pop out the SIM tray and remove it.

Heat Back Cover
3 minApply heat evenly along the outer edges of the rear panel for two minutes using a heat gun or hair dryer. Keep the heat source moving to avoid warping the plastic.

Apply Suction Cup
2 minPress a suction cup onto the lower portion of the rear panel. Pull gently upward to create a tiny seam between the panel and frame.

Slice Adhesive
4 minInsert a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slide the pick around the perimeter to slice through the adhesive seal.

Lift Back Panel
2 minCarefully pivot the rear panel away from the chassis. Lift it clear and lay it aside on your work mat.

4 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all visible screws securing the midframe to the phone chassis.

3 minInsert a plastic pry tool between the midframe bezel and the housing. Pry around the perimeter to release the plastic clips and remove the frame.

Disconnect Display Flex Cables
2 minDetach the main display interconnect cable and the sub-board extension cable from the top logic board using a spudger.

Disconnect Antenna Cables
2 minGently pry up the head of the coaxial antenna cables from the logic board using precision tweezers.

Remove Cameras
3 minDisconnect the rear camera module and front selfie camera press connectors. Lift both camera assemblies out of the frame.

Unscrew Logic Board
1 minRemove the single Phillips screw holding the logic board down to the inner metal frame.

Extract Logic Board
2 minGently lift the logic board out of the phone housing starting from the lower edge. Store it safely on an anti-static surface.
