Step-by-step

Eject SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the tray hole on the side of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then pull it out completely.

Heat Back Cover
2 minApply heat to the outer edges of the rear panel using a heat gun on low power for two minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

Slice Rear Adhesive
5 minPlace a suction cup on the lower back glass and gently lift to create a small gap. Slide an opening pick around the perimeter to cut through the adhesive.

Disconnect Fingerprint Cable
2 minSlightly lift the rear cover without pulling forcefully. Use a plastic spudger to disconnect the fingerprint sensor flex cable from the mainboard.

Unscrew Board Shield
3 minRemove all Phillips #000 screws holding down the upper plastic motherboard bracket.

Remove Upper Shield
2 minInsert a spudger beneath the edge of the plastic motherboard cover and pry it upward to detach it from the phone body.

Disconnect Battery Flex
1 minPry the battery press connector straight up off its motherboard socket using a plastic spudger.

Disconnect Display Cable
1 minUse the edge of a spudger to pop the display flex cable press connector off the lower edge of the motherboard.

Disconnect Interconnect Cable
1 minUnsnap the ribbon cable connecting the bottom sub-board to the main logic board.

Unplug Antenna Cables
2 minGently pry the coaxial antenna cable heads straight up from the motherboard using fine-tip tweezers.

Remove Camera Modules
3 minDisconnect and carefully extract the front-facing and rear camera modules from the motherboard using tweezers.

Lift Out Logic Board
2 minInsert a spudger under the bottom corner of the logic board and gently lever it up and out of the chassis.
