   Eject the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left edge of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it.

   Heat the Rear Cover

   Use a heat gun or hairdryer on low heat around the perimeter of the back cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach Suction Handle

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear panel. Gently pull up on the ring to create a small gap at the bottom edge.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Slide a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Leave the pick inserted to prevent the seam from closing.

   Slice Rear Panel Adhesive

   Slide the plastic opening pick around the entire perimeter of the phone to slice through the remaining perimeter tape.

   Unclip Rear Panel

   Gently lift the right edge of the rear cover like a book, taking care not to strain the attached fingerprint reader cable.

   Unscrew Sensor Bracket

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the single screw securing the fingerprint sensor connector metal bracket.

   Disconnect Fingerprint Cable

   Pry the fingerprint sensor flex cable connector straight up from its socket on the motherboard using a plastic spudger.

   Unscrew Lower Loudspeaker

   Remove the seven Phillips #00 screws holding the lower speaker cover over the charging port assembly.

    Remove Speaker Assembly

    Insert the flat tip of a spudger under the notch on the speaker housing and gently lift it out of the chassis.

    Disconnect Main Interconnect Cable

    Use a spudger to pry the main flex cable connector straight up from the charging port daughterboard.

    Disconnect White Antenna Cable

    Use precision tweezers to grip the white coaxial antenna connector head and pop it straight up off its terminal.

    Disconnect Black Antenna Cable

    Unclip the black coaxial antenna cable from the left side of the sub-board with precision tweezers.

    Pry Up Charging Board

    Insert the flat edge of a spudger under the bottom lip of the charging port sub-board and lever it up to release the adhesive.

    Remove Old Charging Board

    Lift the damaged charging port board out of the phone frame and discard it.

    Position New Charging Board

    Set the new replacement charging port daughterboard into its slot in the frame and press down gently to adhere it.

    Reconnect Coaxial Cables

    Snap the black and white coaxial cable connectors carefully back onto their gold terminals on the new board using tweezers.

    Reconnect Main Interconnect Cable

    Align the main flex connector over its socket on the new daughterboard and press down firmly until it clicks.

    Reinstall Loudspeaker Assembly

    Place the loudspeaker module back over the lower sub-board and press it flat into the chassis.

    Fasten Loudspeaker Screws

    Tighten the seven Phillips #00 screws into the loudspeaker cover to lock it into place.

    Reconnect Fingerprint Reader

    Hold the back cover near the device and snap the fingerprint sensor connector back onto the motherboard.

    Secure Sensor Bracket

    Place the metal fingerprint bracket over the connector and tighten the Phillips screw.

    Seal Rear Panel

    Apply fresh adhesive strips to the edges of the back panel, press the panel firmly onto the frame, and apply firm pressure for 30 seconds.

    Reinsert SIM Tray

    Push the SIM card tray back into its slot until it sits flush against the outer housing.
