Power Off the Phone
1 minTurn off the Moto Edge 30 Ultra completely before beginning disassembly.

Remove the SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the bottom frame and remove the tray.

Heat the Rear Glass
2 minApply heat to the edges of the rear cover with a heat gun for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach the Suction Cup
2 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear glass and gently pull upward to create a small gap.

Insert an Opening Pick
1 minSlide a plastic opening pick into the gap between the glass back and the metal frame.

1 minUse a plastic spudger to pry the battery flex cable straight up from its motherboard socket.

Disconnect the Power Button Flex
2 minPry up the power button flex cable connector from the side of the motherboard.

Soften the Button Flex Adhesive
2 minApply light heat to the right outer edge of the frame to weaken the glue holding the flex cable.

Peel Out the Power Button Flex
3 minUse fine tweezers to gently peel the power button flex cable out of the chassis groove.

Set the New Power Button Cable
3 minAlign the replacement power button flex cable into the frame slot and press it down firmly.

Reconnect the Power Button Flex
2 minAlign and press down on the power button ribbon connector to clip it to the motherboard.

Reconnect the Battery Cable
1 minPress the battery connector firmly back onto the motherboard until it snaps into place.

Reinstall the Upper Mid-Frame
3 minPlace the upper motherboard cover in position and secure it with the saved Phillips screws.

Reseal the Rear Glass
4 minApply a new pre-cut adhesive gasket around the frame perimeter and press the rear glass firmly in place.
