   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray at the bottom edge. Push firmly to eject the tray and pull it out.

   Heat the rear glass panel

   Apply a heat gun or heated pad to the edges of the rear panel for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive.

   Attach the suction handle

   Press a suction handle onto the lower third of the rear glass near the charging port.

   Create an opening gap

   Pull upward on the suction handle to form a small gap between the glass and frame, then slide an opening pick into the seam.

   Slice the back glass adhesive

   Slide the opening pick around all four edges of the rear panel to cut through the adhesive tape. Keep the pick shallow near the camera assembly.

   Lift off the back panel

   Gently lift the rear glass panel off the chassis and place it on a clean surface.

   Unscrew the upper motherboard cover

   Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the upper plastic cover and wireless charging antenna assembly.

   Remove the motherboard cover

   Use a plastic spudger to gently pry up and detach the upper cover along with the wireless charging coil.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Use the tip of a plastic spudger to pry the battery press connector straight up from its motherboard socket.

    Unscrew the lower speaker housing

    Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the device.

    Remove the loudspeaker module

    Pry up the loudspeaker module using a spudger and remove it from the lower chassis.

    Disconnect the interconnect flex cables

    Disconnect the main ribbon cables running over the battery that bridge the motherboard to the sub-board.

    Apply isopropyl alcohol around the battery

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol around the battery perimeter to soften the pull-tab adhesive.

    Pry up the battery

    Insert a flat plastic opening card beneath the side edge of the battery and carefully pry upward to release it from the frame adhesive.

    Remove the old battery

    Lift the degraded battery out of the well, ensuring you do not bend or puncture its pouch.

    Clean residual adhesive

    Wipe away leftover adhesive residue from the metal frame using a micro-fiber cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

    Install the new battery

    Place new adhesive strips into the battery well, seat the replacement battery into place, and press down firmly to set it.
