Power off the phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely shut down before starting.

Eject the SIM tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the top edge of the frame. Push firmly until the SIM tray pops out, then remove it.

Heat the rear cover
2 minApply a heated iOpener or heat gun around all edges of the back cover for two minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

Slice the rear adhesive
4 minAttach a suction cup near the bottom edge, pull up gently, and slide an opening pick beneath the back cover perimeter to slice through the adhesive tape.

Unclip the rear cover

3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the seven screws securing the lower loudspeaker cover.

Pry up the speaker module
2 minInsert the flat tip of a spudger into the notch beneath the loudspeaker housing and lift upward to free it from the frame.

Clean the contact pads
2 minDampen a cotton swab with high-concentration isopropyl alcohol and gently wipe the gold contact pads on the underlying daughterboard.

Insert the new speaker module
2 minPosition the new loudspeaker assembly over the lower section of the phone frame and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

Secure the speaker screws
3 minReinstall and tighten the seven Phillips #00 screws to hold the speaker housing firmly against the chassis.

Reconnect the fingerprint sensor
2 minHold the rear cover near the phone body and press the fingerprint sensor flex connector directly onto its motherboard socket until it clicks.

Apply back cover adhesive
3 minPeel the protective backing off fresh pre-cut adhesive strips and apply them precisely around the perimeter of the phone frame.

Seal the rear cover
2 minAlign the rear cover precisely with the phone chassis and press firmly along all edges to seat the fresh adhesive.

Reinsert the SIM tray
1 minSlide the SIM card tray back into its slot on the top frame until it rests flush against the outer casing.
