   Power Off Phone

   Press and hold the Power button, then select Power Off on screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Eject SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the tray hole on the side frame. Press firmly to pop out the tray and remove it completely.

   Heat Back Cover

   Apply a heat gun or hairdryer along all edges of the rear panel for 2 to 3 minutes to soften internal adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear panel. Pull up gently on the ring to create a small gap.

   Slice Rear Adhesive

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap and slide it around the perimeter. Use caution around the center logo area where the fingerprint cable runs.

   Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor

   Gently tilt open the back cover from the right side. Use a spudger to pop the fingerprint flex cable up off the motherboard.

   Unscrew Midframe Screws

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all 16 screws securing the upper motherboard shield and lower speaker assembly.

   Pry Off Midframe Cover

   Insert an opening pick under the edges of the upper plastic housing and lift it off the frame.

    Heat the front edges of the screen with a heat gun for 2 to 3 minutes to break down the display tape.

    Slice Screen Perimeter Adhesive

    Insert a thin opening pick between the glass screen and phone frame, cutting through adhesive on all four sides.

    Remove Old Screen

    Pry the screen off the body while guiding the attached ribbon cable out through the frame slot.

    Clean Frame Surface

    Scrape away remaining adhesive bits and clean the frame rim using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.

    Lay pre-cut frame adhesive strips along the inner frame perimeter, pressing firmly to bond.

    Position New Screen Assembly

    Feed the new screen ribbon cable through the slot in the frame and seat the display glass square into the recess.
