   Power Off the Phone

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left edge of the phone. Push inward to pop the tray out and remove it.

   Heat the Back Cover

   Use a heat gun or iOpener along the outer edges of the rear plastic cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive underneath.

   Slice the Rear Cover Adhesive

   Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the seam between the back cover and middle housing. Slide the pick along all sides to separate the adhesive seal.

   Disconnect the Fingerprint Reader

   Gently lift the back cover slightly to reveal the fingerprint cable. Use a spudger to detach the connector from the motherboard before fully removing the cover.

   Remove the Back Cover

   Lift the rear cover completely away from the chassis. Set it aside in a safe, dust-free area.

   Unscrew the Loudspeaker Cover

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the six screws securing the bottom loudspeaker assembly.

   Remove the Loudspeaker Assembly

   Insert the flat end of a plastic spudger beneath the loudspeaker housing and pry upward to release it from the chassis.

   Disconnect the Battery Flex Cable

   Pry up the battery connector from its motherboard socket using a plastic spudger to cut power to the device.

    Disconnect the Interconnect Flex Cable

    Use a plastic opening tool to disconnect the main interconnect flex cable from the charging port daughterboard.

    Disconnect the Antenna Cable

    Carefully grip the coaxial antenna cable head with tweezers and pry it straight up off its socket on the daughterboard.

    Remove Board Retaining Screws

    Remove the two Phillips #00 screws securing the charging port board to the lower frame.

    Remove Defective Charging Port Board

    Wedge a plastic spudger beneath the charging board and gently pry it out of the phone frame.

    Position the New Port Board

    Align the replacement charging port board with the bottom frame recess and press it gently into place.

    Secure the New Board Screws

    Drive the two Phillips #00 screws back into the replacement daughterboard to anchor it tightly.

    Reconnect the Antenna Cable

    Align the coaxial cable head over its daughterboard socket and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

    Attach the Interconnect Cable

    Align the interconnect flex cable press connector over the daughterboard socket and press down firmly.

    Reconnect the Battery Cable

    Press the main battery flex cable connector back onto its matching motherboard terminal.

    Reinstall the Loudspeaker Assembly

    Place the loudspeaker cover back over the bottom daughterboard and tighten the six Phillips #00 screws.

    Connect Fingerprint Sensor Cable

    Hold the back cover near the phone body and attach the fingerprint reader connector to the upper motherboard socket.

    Apply Rear Cover Adhesive

    Apply new custom pre-cut adhesive strips or a thin bead of liquid adhesive around the perimeter of the phone chassis.

    Seal Back Cover and SIM Tray

    Press the rear cover firmly onto the phone perimeter for 30 seconds, then reinsert the SIM card tray.
