   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Shut Down on the screen to ensure the phone is completely powered off.

   Remove the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the tray on the left edge and pull the tray out.

   Heat the rear panel

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer around the edges of the back cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive seal.

   Attach suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower section of the rear glass cover.

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a gap, then slide a plastic opening pick between the cover and frame.

   Slide the pick around all four edges of the phone to cut through the back cover adhesive.

   Gently swing the back cover open from the right side like a book, taking care not to strain the fingerprint flex cable.
