   Power Off Phone

   Press and hold the power button until options appear on screen. Tap power off and wait for screen to go completely dark.

   Remove Back Cover

   Insert a plastic opening tool into the notch at the bottom edge of the phone. Pry upward to unsnap and release rear plastic panel.

   Remove Battery

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the lower recess of the battery compartment. Lift battery up and out of device body.

   Slide microSD card and SIM card straight out from their designated slots using your fingertip.

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all screws securing midframe housing. Place screws in a safe tray.

   Insert an opening pick between midframe bezel and outer plastic chassis. Pry along edges to unlatch internal plastic tabs.

   Gently lift midframe housing off phone assembly and set it aside.

   Use a spudger to gently pop display flex cable connector straight up off motherboard socket.

   Apply heat gun evenly around outer edges of display for two minutes to soften screen adhesive.

    Press a suction cup firmly onto lower half of front glass screen.

    Pull up on suction cup handle to create a gap between glass and frame. Insert an opening pick into gap.

    Slide opening pick slowly along perimeter edges of glass to cut through remaining adhesive.

    Separate Display Assembly

    Lift display glass off frame while carefully guiding flex cable through frame slot.

    Clean Frame Perimeter

    Apply isopropyl alcohol to a microfiber cloth and scrape away all old adhesive residue from housing frame.

    Apply Frame Adhesive

    Lay narrow double-sided adhesive strips precise along top, bottom, and side frame ledge.

    Thread New Screen Flex

    Feed replacement display panel's flex cable through frame slot before lower portion meets chassis.

    Align display glass onto frame borders and press down gently around perimeter to set adhesive.
