   Insert prying tool into back notch

   Locate the small pry notch on the bottom edge of the phone frame. Insert a plastic opening tool into the notch.

   Pry open rear cover

   Twist the tool gently to release the plastic clips securing the rear cover. Work the tool around the perimeter.

   Lift the rear cover completely away from the chassis. Set the cover aside in a clean location.

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pop the battery flex cable straight up off its motherboard terminal.

    Warm battery adhesive

    Apply low heat with a heat gun to the middle area of the phone frame for 30 seconds. This softens the adhesive beneath the battery.

    Slide a flat plastic spudger beneath the top edge of the battery cell. Be careful not to puncture the battery casing.

    Pry battery from chassis
