Power Off the iPhone
1 minPress and hold the sleep/wake button, then slide to power down the iPhone completely.

Remove Pentalobe Screws
2 minUnscrew the two 3.6 mm P2 Pentalobe screws located on either side of the Lightning connector.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPress a suction cup firmly onto the front screen assembly just above the Home button.

Pry Open Display
3 minGently pull up on the suction cup while using a plastic opening tool to pry the rear case away from the screen.

Prop Up Display
2 minOpen the display to a 90-degree angle relative to the rear case and support it securely so it does not strain the top cables.

Unscrew Battery Bracket
2 minRemove the two Phillips #000 screws securing the metal battery connector bracket to the logic board.

Remove Battery Bracket
1 minUse tweezers to lift and remove the metal battery connector bracket from the phone.

Disconnect Battery
1 minUse the flat edge of a spudger to pry the battery connector straight up from its socket on the logic board.

Disconnect Antenna Cable
2 minUse a spudger or tweezers to carefully pry the cellular antenna cable off its socket on the loudspeaker.

Remove Loudspeaker Screws
2 minRemove the three Phillips #000 screws securing the loudspeaker assembly to the lower rear case.

Lift Out Loudspeaker
2 minUse a spudger to gently lift the loudspeaker assembly up and out of the lower rear case.

Insert Replacement Loudspeaker
2 minPlace the new loudspeaker assembly into position at the bottom corner of the rear case.

Secure Loudspeaker Screws
2 minReinstall and tighten the three Phillips #000 screws to secure the loudspeaker to the case.

Reconnect Antenna Cable
2 minAlign and press down on the cellular antenna cable connector until it snaps onto the loudspeaker socket.

Reconnect Battery
1 minPress the battery connector down onto its socket on the logic board until it snaps into place.

Reinstall Battery Bracket
2 minPosition the metal battery bracket over the connector and tighten the two Phillips #000 screws.

Snap Display Closed
2 minLower the display assembly into the rear case and press firmly along the top and side edges until the clips snap shut.

Install Pentalobe Screws
1 minInsert and tighten the two 3.6 mm P2 Pentalobe screws adjacent to the Lightning port.
