Step-by-step

Power Off iPhone
1 minPress and hold the Power button, then slide the screen toggle to completely switch off your iPhone 6 Plus.

Remove Pentalobe Screws
2 minUse a P2 Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 3.6 mm screws located on either side of the Lightning port.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPress a suction cup firmly onto the lower glass panel just above the Home button.

Separate Display Assembly
3 minPull up on the suction cup while inserting a plastic opening tool beneath the front panel lip to release the clips.

Remove Battery Bracket Screws
2 minUnscrew the two Phillips #000 screws securing the metal battery connector bracket to the logic board.

Disconnect Battery Connector
1 minUse the edge of a plastic spudger to pry the battery flex cable straight up off the board connector.

Remove Display Cable Bracket
3 minUnscrew the five Phillips #000 screws holding the display assembly cable bracket in place.

Disconnect Display Flex Cables
3 minPry up the front camera, digitizer, home button, and LCD cables from their sockets using a plastic spudger.

Separate Front Panel
1 minLift the front display panel away from the rear enclosure completely and place it on a clean mat.

Remove Loudspeaker Screws
3 minUnscrew the five Phillips #000 screws securing the bottom loudspeaker assembly to the rear housing.

Remove Loudspeaker Assembly
2 minLift the loudspeaker out of the chassis using tweezers, freeing the lower microphone and antenna connection.

Unscrew Lightning Connector Assembly
2 minRemove the three Phillips screws holding the Lightning port and primary bottom microphone bracket to the frame.

Pry Up Microphone Cable
3 minSlide a flat spudger under the microphone rubber gasket and flex cable to detach the adhesive securing it to the aluminum body.

Install Replacement Microphone Flex
3 minAlign the new microphone and Lightning cable module over the screw posts and press firmly to set the adhesive.

Reinstall Loudspeaker Assembly
3 minPlace the loudspeaker back into position over the flex cable contacts and secure it with the five Phillips screws.

Reconnect Display Cables and Battery
5 minAttach the display and battery flex cables back to the logic board, install their brackets, and close the display assembly.
