   Power Down Device

   Press and hold the power button until the slider appears. Slide to completely switch off the iPhone.

   Remove Pentalobe Screws

   Unscrew and remove the two 3.6 mm Pentalobe screws located next to the Lightning connector.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup onto the glass near the bottom edge, right above the home button.

   Create Screen Gap

   Pull up on the suction cup with firm pressure to create a small gap between the display panel and frame.

   Insert Opening Tool

   Insert a plastic prying tool into the seam to hold the gap open.

   Release Display Clips

   Slide the plastic tool along the left and right edges to disengage the metal clips.

   Open Display Assembly

   Gently pivot the bottom of the display up to a 90-degree angle relative to the rear case.

   Remove Battery Bracket Screws

   Remove the two Phillips screws securing the battery cable bracket to the logic board.

   Detach Battery Bracket

   Use tweezers to lift and remove the metal battery connector bracket.

    Disconnect Battery Cable

    Pry the battery connector straight up out of its socket using the flat end of a spudger.

    Remove Display Bracket Screws

    Unscrew the five Phillips screws securing the display cable bracket.

    Detach Display Bracket

    Lift the metal display cable bracket off the board with tweezers.

    Disconnect Front Camera Cable

    Use a spudger to disconnect the front camera and sensor cable connector.

    Disconnect Digitizer Cable

    Pry the digitizer cable connector straight up from its socket.

    Disconnect Display Cable

    Disconnect the main display data cable using the flat edge of a spudger.

    Separate Display Assembly

    Lift the entire display assembly away from the rear case and set it aside safely.

    Unstick Adhesive Tabs

    Peel back the three adhesive pull-tab ends from the bottom edge of the battery.

    Pull Adhesive Strips

    Slowly pull each adhesive strip outward parallel to the phone until released from beneath the battery.

    Remove Old Battery

    Lift the battery out of the phone frame using a flat opening tool.

    Apply New Adhesive

    Stick the new adhesive strips to the backside of the replacement battery.

    Insert Replacement Battery

    Lower the new battery into the rear case and press down firmly to set the adhesive.

    Reconnect Display Cables

    Align and snap the front camera, digitizer, and display cables back onto the logic board.

    Reattach Display Bracket

    Position the display bracket and secure it with the five Phillips screws.

    Connect Battery Cable

    Align the battery connector over its socket and press firmly until it snaps into place.

    Reattach Battery Bracket

    Place the battery bracket over the connector and reinstall the two Phillips screws.

    Close Display Assembly

    Hook the top edge of the display into the frame and lower the screen down.

    Press Screen Closed

    Gently squeeze along the side edges until the display snaps flush into the chassis.

    Install Pentalobe Screws

    Reinstall the two Pentalobe screws beside the charging port.
