Step-by-step

Power Off Device
1 minPress and hold the side button and volume down button, then slide to power off the iPhone completely.

Remove Pentalobe Screws
2 minUse a P2 Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 6.7 mm screws located on either side of the Lightning port.

Heat Lower Edge
2 minApply a heat gun or hair dryer to the bottom edge of the screen for two minutes to soften the display adhesive.

1 minPlace a suction cup onto the lower half of the front glass, just above the home indicator area.

4 minSlide the opening pick around the bottom and sides of the phone to cut through the waterproof adhesive perimeter.

2 minUnscrew the two Y000 screws securing the battery connector bracket and lift the metal plate out using tweezers.

3 minUnscrew the six Y000 screws holding the display cable shield in place and remove the shield.

2 minPry up the OLED display connector, digitizer connector, and front sensor assembly cable from the board.

Detach Display Assembly
1 minSeparate the display assembly completely from the rear housing and set it aside in a safe area.

Eject SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool or straightened paperclip into the SIM tray hole and push firmly to eject the tray.
