Safety
- Unplug the console from power and wait at least 10 minutes to allow capacitors to discharge fully.
- Wear an anti-static wrist strap to avoid electrostatic damage to internal circuitry.
- Do not puncture or bend the internal power supply components during handling.

Step-by-step

Remove the base stand
2 minUnscrew the center mounting screw on the bottom stand using a coin or flathead screwdriver, then lift the stand off.

Detach the top panel
2 minGrasp the top-rear corner of the white outer cover, pull up gently, and slide the panel down toward the base.

Detach the bottom panel
2 minFlip the console, pull up on the rear corner of the remaining white panel, and slide it off the chassis.

Unscrew the fan intake shroud
3 minRemove the four TR8 Security Torx screws securing the plastic fan cover to the main frame.

Disconnect the cooling fan
2 minLift the plastic cable guard and use tweezers to carefully unplug the 4-pin fan connector straight up.

Remove the cooling fan
1 minLift the cooling fan out of its housing and set it aside.

Peel back the security tape
2 minUse a plastic spudger to carefully lift and peel away the black seal covering the main metal plate screws.

Unscrew the main metal cover plate
5 minRemove the perimeter TR8 Security Torx screws holding the upper metal shield to the console body.

Remove the upper shield plate
2 minLift the metal cover plate straight off the console to expose the motherboard components.

Unplug the PSU motherboard cable
2 minDisconnect the power supply cable harness from the motherboard socket using a plastic spudger.

Remove the power supply screws
3 minUnscrew the long TR8 Security Torx fasteners securing the power supply assembly at the bottom of the housing.

Extract the power supply unit
3 minGasp the power supply housing and pull it straight up to disengage it from the high-voltage motherboard prongs.

Install the new power supply
3 minAlign the replacement power supply with the internal terminal prongs and press down firmly until fully seated.

Reconnect the power supply cable
2 minPlug the power supply control harness securely back into its designated motherboard header.
