   Slide off the top outer casing

   Remove the two tamper-evident stickers on the back and unfasten the Torx screws beneath them. Slide the top cover backward and lift it off the chassis.

   Unscrew the upper metal shield

   Remove the long T9 Torx screws holding the top inner metal cage to the lower body. Lift the metal shield straight up to remove it.

   Disconnect the front power button board

   Unplug the ribbon cable connecting the front power/eject board to the motherboard using a plastic spudger. Remove the mounting screws and set the board aside.

   Disconnect the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth board

   Unclip the antenna cables from the wireless module carefully using tweezers. Remove the securing screws and detach the wireless card.

   Unplug and remove the optical drive

   Disconnect the SATA power and data cables from the back of the disc drive. Lift the optical drive unit straight out of the console body.

   Remove the hard drive assembly

   Disconnect the hard drive SATA connectors from the motherboard. Lift the hard drive bracket assembly out of the chassis.

   Remove the internal power supply

   Unplug the 2-pin power cable connector running from the power supply to the motherboard. Lift the power supply unit straight up and out.

   Remove the motherboard frame screws

   Remove all remaining T9 and T10 Torx screws securing the motherboard assembly to the bottom chassis.

   Extract the motherboard assembly

   Carefully lift the motherboard along with its attached heat sink out of the lower plastic casing.

    Apply flux to the HDMI port pins

    Apply a generous amount of liquid or gel soldering flux to the 19 signal pins and 4 anchor pads of the damaged HDMI port.

    Add low-melt solder to anchor legs

    Melt fresh leaded solder onto the four anchor legs and signal pins to lower the overall melting temperature of the factory solder.

    Heat and remove the damaged HDMI port

    Apply hot air directly beneath the board around the HDMI port until the solder melts completely. Use tweezers to lift the port cleanly off the board.

    Clear solder from the anchor holes

    Apply fresh flux and use desoldering wick with your soldering iron to suck out remaining solder from all through-holes.

    Clean pad area with isopropyl alcohol

    Scrub the HDMI pad area gently with a Q-tip soaked in 99% isopropyl alcohol to remove old flux and debris.

    Align and seat the new HDMI port

    Place the new replacement HDMI port into position, ensuring all four anchor pins fit securely into the motherboard through-holes.

    Solder the anchor legs

    Heat each of the four main anchor legs with your soldering iron and feed in solder until each hole is completely filled and solid.

    Solder the signal pins

    Apply flux across the signal pads and drag solder across each pin with a fine chisel tip, ensuring no solder bridges form between pins.

    Inspect and clean the repair area

    Check all 19 pins under magnification to confirm solid connections and no short circuits. Clean away remaining flux residue using isopropyl alcohol.
