Remove rear sticker covers
2 minPeel away the tamper-evident sticker and label on the back panel to reveal hidden casing screws.

Unscrew top casing fasteners

Slide off upper enclosure
2 minPush the upper casing toward the rear of the console and lift it off the chassis.

Remove chassis shield screws

Lift metal chassis shield
2 minLift the top metal shield straight up to expose the internal drive components.

Disconnect power supply harness
2 minUnplug the main power supply connector from the motherboard socket using a spudger.

Remove power supply unit
3 minLift the internal power supply module straight up and out of the lower chassis.

Disconnect optical drive cables
2 minUnplug both the SATA power and data cables connected to the rear of the optical drive.

Lift out optical drive
2 minGrasp the optical drive module and lift it out of the assembly frame.

Unbolt hard drive assembly
3 minRemove the T10 Torx screws anchoring the hard drive mounting tray to the chassis.

Remove hard drive module
2 minDisconnect the hard drive cable from the board and lift the hard drive tray clear.

Disconnect fan power cable
1 minUse tweezers or your fingertips to carefully unplug the 4-pin fan cable from the motherboard connector.

Unscrew fan housing fasteners
3 minRemove the T9 Torx screws holding the cooling fan assembly to the heatsink duct.

Lift out damaged fan
1 minLift the old cooling fan up and away from the vapor chamber heat sink.
