Linksys Velop introduced modular, multi node Wi Fi systems designed to eliminate coverage dead spots by creating a unified mesh network under a single network name. Moving away from traditional monolithic desktop routers, the original Velop family popularized compact, vertical tower designs with concealed internal antenna arrays. Over successive hardware generations, the lineup has expanded from early dual band and tri band Wi Fi 5 (802.11ac) nodes to high throughput Wi Fi 6, Wi Fi 6E, and Wi Fi 7 hardware such as the Velop Pro 6E and Velop Pro 7.
