MSI Monitor No Picture But Has Sound
If your MSI monitor outputs audio through its speakers or 3.5mm jack but shows a completely black screen, the controller board is active while the panel backlight or T-CON drive circuit has failed.

Performing a soft reset (unplugging the power cable, draining residual energy, and updating GPU drivers) resolves temporary EDID firmware hangs. However, soft resets cannot bridge a blown SMD board fuse or an open-circuit LED array.
Because modern LCD/OLED panels are bonded tightly to their chassis, disassembling an MSI display to replace internal light strips or swap mainboards carries a high risk of cracking the delicate glass panel. Internal board-level repair is generally not recommended as a DIY project unless you have dedicated SMD soldering equipment.
