HP Monitor No Picture But Has Sound
If your HP monitor plays audio clearly through its internal speakers or headphone jack but displays a completely dark screen, the video pipeline or backlight circuit has failed while the audio pass-through remains active.

Step 1

Internal power supplies hold lethal high voltages even when unplugged, and modern thin-bezel HP panels are glued directly to the chassis, making screen removal difficult without cracking the display.
