Power Off Device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

Remove MicroSD Card
1 minOpen the side card flap and push the microSD card inward to eject it. Remove the card from the slot.

Insert Pry Tool
2 minInsert a plastic opening tool into the seam between the rear cover and the front bezel near the corner.

Pry Along Perimeter
4 minSlide a plastic opening pick along the edges to release the plastic clips holding the cover. Work carefully around the tablet frame.

Lift Off Rear Cover

Disconnect Battery
2 minUse a plastic spudger to carefully lift the battery connector straight up off the motherboard receptacle.

Unlock ZIF Connector
2 minUse the tip of a spudger to gently flip up the small retaining flap on the power button ZIF connector.

Detach Power Flex Cable
2 minSlide the power button flex cable straight out of the ZIF connector socket. Use fine tweezers to avoid tearing the ribbon.

Peel Off Switch Assembly
2 minUse flat tweezers to carefully peel the power button flex cable off the inner housing. Clean away any adhesive residue.

Install Replacement Cable
3 minPosition the new power button flex cable onto the housing and press down firmly to adhere it. Slide the cable end into the ZIF socket.

Lock ZIF Connector
1 minPress the plastic retaining flap on the ZIF socket down to lock the new flex cable in place.

Secure Metal Bracket
2 minPlace the metal retaining bracket over the power button switch. Tighten the Phillips PH00 screw to hold it in place.

Reconnect Battery
2 minAlign the battery connector over its socket and press firmly down until it clicks into place.

Snap Rear Cover
3 minAlign the rear cover with the chassis and press firmly along all edges until every clip snaps shut.
