   Power off and remove SIM tray

   Turn off the Galaxy Tab S9 completely to prevent short circuits. Insert an ejector tool into the SIM/microSD card tray hole and remove the tray.

   Heat the display edges

   Use a heat gun or iOpener around the outer perimeter of the screen for three minutes to soften the strong adhesive. Keep the heat source moving constantly to avoid burning the AMOLED panel.

   Attach suction cup and lift

   Press a heavy-duty suction cup onto the top edge of the screen near the front camera. Pull up firmly to create a tiny gap between the display glass and the frame.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slowly slide the pick along all four edges to slice through the display adhesive.

   Propping open the display

   Gently tilt the display open from the right side like a book. Do not lift it off completely yet, as fragile flex cables are still connected.

   Disconnect the display cable

   Use a plastic spudger to pry open the metal bracket securing the display connector. Pry the display flex cable straight up from the motherboard connector.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Locate the main battery connector on the motherboard. Pry the battery cable connector straight up to cut power to the device immediately.

   Remove motherboard bracket screws

   Unscrew the Phillips screws securing the metal shield bracket over the motherboard. Set the screws aside in an organized tray.

   Remove the motherboard shield

   Use precision tweezers to lift and remove the metal shielding bracket covering the mainboard. Put it in a clean workspace.

    Disconnect remaining flex cables

    Use a plastic spudger to disconnect the speaker, daughterboard, charging port, and button flex cables from the motherboard.

    Extract the mainboard

    Remove the remaining retaining screws on the motherboard. Carefully lift the motherboard out of the chassis by its edges.

    Inspect for liquid corrosion

    Examine both sides of the motherboard under a magnifying glass. Look for white, green, or black corrosion spots around surface-mount components.

    Scrub the motherboard with isopropyl alcohol

    Submerge a soft nylon brush in 99% isopropyl alcohol and gently scrub affected areas on the motherboard. Ensure all mineral deposits and residue are completely dissolved.

    Clean sub-boards and connectors

    Clean the USB-C charging port board and speaker ribbon connectors using isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush. Clean out liquid pooled inside the aluminum chassis with microfiber cloth.

    Dry all internal components

    Allow the motherboard and sub-components to air-dry completely in a dry area for at least 15 minutes. Verify no alcohol or moisture remains under EMI shields.

    Reinstall motherboard and connect flexes

    Place the dry motherboard back into the frame and secure it with screws. Reattach all internal ribbon cables, leaving the battery cable for last.

    Reconnect battery and test screen

    Plug in the battery connector, temporarily attach the display cable, and power on the tablet to test functionality. Power off the device before proceeding.

    Apply fresh display adhesive and seal

    Clean old adhesive off the frame, apply pre-cut adhesive strips, and align the display panel. Press firmly along the edges to seal the screen in place.
