   Power Off and Eject SIM Tray

   Turn off the tablet completely, then insert a SIM eject tool into the tray hole on the side to remove the SIM/microSD card tray.

   Heat the Outer Screen Edges

   Apply heat around the perimeter of the screen for 2-3 minutes using a heat gun set to low heat to soften the display adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup onto the top edge of the glass display screen near the front camera.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap, then slide a plastic opening pick into the gap between the glass and the frame.

   Slice Top and Side Adhesive

   Slide the pick gently along the top and side edges to slice through the adhesive holding the screen assembly.

   Slice Bottom Adhesive

   Carefully run the pick along the bottom edge of the glass, keeping the blade shallow to avoid damaging flex cables.

   Hinge Open the Display

   Lift the top edge of the display assembly upwards like a book page, keeping the bottom side near the chassis.

   Unscrew Display Cable Shield

   Remove the Phillips screws securing the metal shield bracket over the display flex connectors.

   Disconnect Display Flex Cables

   Use a plastic spudger to gently pry the display flex cables straight up from their motherboard sockets, then set the screen aside.

    Remove the Phillips screws holding the metal bracket down over the USB-C charging port board.

    Place the replacement charging port board straight into the frame slot until it sits flush.

    Align and press the main ribbon cable connector onto the new charging port board until it clicks into place.

    Place the metal retention bracket over the charging port assembly and tighten the Phillips screws to secure it.
