   Press and hold the power and volume down buttons, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Heat the screen perimeter

   Apply a heat gun evenly around the outer edges of the display for two to three minutes. This softens the strong adhesive holding the glass to the frame.

   Attach a suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the top edge of the screen glass. Press down firmly to create a secure seal.

   Lift the glass

   Pull up gently on the suction cup handle to create a tiny gap between the glass and the aluminum frame. Do not force it if the adhesive is still hard.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created under the top edge of the screen. Keep the pick shallow to avoid damaging internal sensors.

   Slice the right edge adhesive

   Slide the pick carefully down the right edge of the display. Reheat the edge with the heat gun if you feel significant resistance.

   Slice the bottom edge adhesive

   Move the pick around the bottom corner and across the lower bezel. Take extra care around the lower flex routing.

   Slice the left edge adhesive

   Continue sliding the pick up along the left edge of the frame. Ensure the display glass is completely separated from the chassis glue.

   Hinge the display open

   Gently lift the screen assembly from the top edge, swinging it open like a book toward the right side. Do not strain the display flex cable.

    Unscrew the display bracket

    Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the small metal bracket covering the display cable connector. Store the screws in a safe location.

    Remove the display bracket

    Use tweezers or your fingers to lift the metal shield off the motherboard. Place it aside for reassembly.

    Remove the old battery

    Lift the depleted battery out of the tablet frame and set it aside for proper recycling. Do not bend or puncture the battery.

    Clean adhesive residue

    Use a lint-free cloth soaked in isopropyl alcohol to clean old adhesive out of the frame recess. Ensure the surface is dry and free of debris.

    Install new battery adhesive

    Peel the backing from your replacement adhesive strips and apply them evenly inside the battery compartment.

    Align the replacement battery in the frame recess and press down firmly to set the adhesive. Ensure the connector lines up with the socket.
