Heat the display edges
3 minApply heat along the outer perimeter of the glass display using a heat gun set to low for three minutes. Keep the heat gun moving constantly to soften the bezel adhesive without overheating the LCD.

Attach the suction cup
2 minPlace a heavy-duty suction cup onto the upper section of the glass screen near the front camera. Pull up on the suction cup handle firmly to create a slight gap between the glass and the frame.

Insert an opening pick
2 minInsert a thin plastic guitar pick into the seam under the raised edge of the display glass. Do not insert the pick deeper than 3 mm to avoid severing underlying flex cables.

Slice the perimeter adhesive
5 minSlide the pick slowly around all four edges of the screen to cut through the foam display adhesive. Reapply heat with the heat gun if you feel significant resistance.
