Power off the device

Insert opening pick

Slice left perimeter adhesive
3 minSlide the plastic pick along the left edge of the frame to separate the display adhesive, keeping the pick shallow.

Slice bottom perimeter adhesive
3 minCarefully slide the pick along the bottom edge, taking care not to insert it deeper than a quarter inch.

Slice right perimeter adhesive
3 minContinue sliding the pick along the right edge of the frame until all perimeter adhesive is separated.

Lift screen assembly
2 minGently lift the top edge of the display screen up like a book cover, pivoting from the bottom edge.

Disconnect digitizer flex cable
2 minUse a plastic prying tool to pop the digitizer cable connector straight up from the motherboard.

Disconnect display ribbon cable
2 minFlip up the locking zif lever on the display connector and slide the display ribbon cable out.
