   Shut down the Surface Pro 11 completely and disconnect the surface connect charger and any attached accessories.

   Heat screen edges

   Apply heat along the outer perimeter of the glass display using a heat gun for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the underlying adhesive.

   Attach suction cup

   Press a suction cup onto the upper section of the glass screen near the front camera and pull up gently to create a tiny gap.

   Insert opening pick

   Slide a plastic opening pick into the gap between the glass screen and the frame, keeping it shallow to protect internal flex cables.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Slide the pick around all four edges of the screen assembly to slice through the perimeter screen adhesive.

   Lift display assembly

   Gently lift the right edge of the screen and swing it open like a book to expose the internal shield plates.

   Unscrew display cable bracket

   Remove the Torx screws securing the metal display cable shield and lift the shield out of the chassis.

   Disconnect display cable

   Use a plastic spudger to pop the display connector press-fit socket straight off the motherboard.

    Pry battery out

    Insert a wide plastic prying card beneath the battery cells and gently leverage the battery up out of the aluminum frame.

    Clean battery recess

    Wipe away residual glue from the interior housing using a microfiber cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply fresh battery adhesive

    Affix replacement stretch-release adhesive strips onto the underside of the new battery pack.

    Lower the new battery into the chassis, align the screw mounts, and press down firmly to secure the adhesive.

    Reconnect battery flex
