   Heat the display perimeter

   Heat the front glass edges using a heating pad or iOpener for 3 minutes to soften the frame adhesive.

   Attach suction handle

   Place a heavy-duty suction cup onto the glass near the bottom edge of the display.

   Lift front glass

   Pull up firmly on the suction handle to create a tiny gap between the display rim and the aluminum enclosure.

   Insert opening pick

   Insert the tip of a thin plastic opening pick into the gap to hold it open.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Slide plastic picks around all four edges of the iPad to cut through the display adhesive. Keep picks shallow to avoid damaging internal cables.

   Open the display

   Gently swing the display assembly open from the right edge like a book cover.

   Remove display bracket screws

   Unscrew the precision screws securing the metal display connector bracket using a screwdriver.
