Step-by-step

Heat the bottom display edge
3 minUse a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the bottom edge of the screen for two minutes to soften the frame adhesive.

Attach the suction cup
1 minPlace a suction cup on the lower edge of the display assembly just above the USB-C port.

Insert an opening pick
2 minPull up firmly on the suction cup to create a gap, then slide a guitar pick into the opening.

Slice adhesive along the sides
4 minSlide the opening pick along the left and right edges to slice through the display adhesive tape.

Slice the top edge adhesive
3 minCarefully slide the pick across the top edge, keeping it shallow to protect the top sensor array.

Open the display assembly
2 minGently lift the display panel from the left side and swing it open like a book.

Disconnect the battery contact
