   Heat the front display perimeter

   Apply a heat gun on low power around all four outer edges of the display for 2-3 minutes to soften the underlying adhesive.

   Attach suction cup to screen

   Place a suction handle near the bottom edge of the display, pressing down firmly to secure a tight seal.

   Insert opening pick under glass

   Pull up on the suction handle to create a tiny seam, then insert a thin guitar pick no deeper than 3 millimeters.

   Slice side display adhesive

   Slide the pick slowly up the right and left sides of the frame to separate the display adhesive.

   Slice top edge adhesive carefully

   Move the pick along the top edge, using shallow insertions to avoid damaging the delicate Face ID sensors.

   Gently lift the right side of the screen upward, swinging it open toward the left without strain on the display cables.

   Remove the Phillips screws securing the metal shield cover over the display logic board connections.

    Remove old battery cell block

    Scrape remaining adhesive residue from the chassis floor using isopropyl alcohol and a plastic pry tool.
