   Heat the perimeter adhesive

   Apply a heat gun around the front glass edges for 2-3 minutes to soften the factory adhesive.

   Attach the suction cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower glass near the Home button and pull upward gently to create a gap.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a thin opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup under the glass frame.

   Slice the perimeter adhesive

   Slide opening picks around all four edges to sever the adhesive while avoiding internal flex cables.

   Open the display assembly

   Gently tilt the screen up from the right edge, taking care not to strain the display ribbon cables.

   Unscrew the EMI shield

   Remove the four Phillips #000 screws holding the metal display connector shield in place.

   Remove the EMI shield

   Use tweezers to lift the metal shield off the logic board connection area.

   Disconnect the battery

   Pry up the battery connector using a spudger to cut power to the device.

   Disconnect the display cables

   Use a spudger to gently pop off the display, digitizer, and home button flex connectors.

    Remove the screen assembly

    Lift the front glass panel completely clear from the iPad body and set it aside safely.

    Unscrew the speaker assemblies

    Remove the Phillips screws securing the left and right speaker enclosures at the bottom.

    Pry out the old speakers

    Use a flat spudger to gently lever the speaker modules out of the rear case.

    Install the new speakers

    Set the replacement speaker modules into their designated slots along the bottom edge.
