Step-by-step

Heat the front glass edges
3 minApply heat around the perimeter of the front glass using a heat gun set to low temperature to soften the adhesive.

Apply the suction cup
1 minPlace a suction cup on the lower portion of the screen near the Home button for leverage.

Insert an opening pick
2 minPull up gently on the suction cup handle and insert a guitar pick into the gap between the glass and frame.

Slice through the screen adhesive
4 minSlide the guitar pick carefully around the edges to loosen the adhesive, taking care near the lower right antenna.

Open the digitizer glass
2 minGently lift the digitizer glass from the left side and swing it open like the cover of a book.

Reconnect the display cables
