Heat the perimeter glass
3 minApply heat around all four edges of the iPad glass with a heat gun for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the frame adhesive.

Attach the suction cup
1 minPlace a suction cup near the top center of the glass assembly and pull upward gently to create a gap.

Insert an opening pick
2 minInsert a thin plastic opening pick into the seam between the glass frame and the outer aluminum case.

Slice top adhesive
2 minSlide the plastic pick horizontally across the top edge to sever the softened adhesive bond.

Slice side adhesive
2 minCarefully move the pick down the right and left sides of the iPad display frame.

Slice bottom adhesive

Remove the LCD assembly
1 minLift the exposed LCD panel out of the iPad frame and place it face-up on a soft microfiber cloth.

Disconnect digitizer cable
1 minPry up the digitizer ribbon cable connector from the logic board to free the original glass panel.

Clean frame adhesive
5 minScrape off all old adhesive residue from the inner rim of the aluminum casing using isopropyl alcohol and a plastic tool.

Apply fresh adhesive
4 minAffix pre-cut double-sided adhesive strips along the top, bottom, and side internal ledges of the frame.
