Step-by-step

Heat the front glass edges
3 minApply a heat gun or warm thermal pad along the outer edges of the display for two minutes to soften the bezel adhesive.

Attach a suction cup
1 minPlace a suction cup on the upper left side of the front glass and pull upward to create a slim gap.

Insert an opening pick
1 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created beneath the glass frame.

Slice through perimeter adhesive
4 minGuide the pick around the top, left, and bottom edges, stopping before the home button assembly.

Open the digitizer glass

Expose the LCD corner screws
2 minPeel back the electrical tape or black foam covers from the four corners of the LCD panel.
