Step-by-step

Heat Front Glass
3 minApply heat around the perimeter of the iPad front panel using a heat gun for 2-3 minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup near the top edge of the glass screen and pull up firmly to create a slight gap.

Insert Opening Pick
2 minSlide a plastic opening pick under the glass into the gap along the top edge of the device.

4 minCarefully slide opening picks along the sides and bottom edge, keeping insertion depth shallow near the home button.

Open Digitizer Assembly
1 minGently fold the glass digitizer open from the left side like a book cover.

2 minRemove the four Phillips #00 screws located at each corner of the LCD panel.

Tilt LCD Panel

2 minApply mild heat to the lower rear aluminum casing behind the speaker assembly to soften the adhesive.

Pry Out Speaker Module
2 minInsert a spudger underneath the speaker housing and carefully pry it up from the rear case.

2 minPosition the new speaker assembly into the lower recess, reconnect its cable, and press down firmly to set the adhesive.
