   Power down the device

   Press and hold the power button until the shutdown menu appears. Select 'Power Off' and wait for the screen to go completely dark.

   Remove the microSD card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the microSD slot hole on the side of the tablet. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then pull it completely free.

   Unclip the back cover

   Insert a plastic opening tool into the seam between the outer display bezel and the rear cover. Slide the tool along the perimeter to release the plastic retaining clips.

   Remove the back cover

   Carefully separate the back cover from the main tablet assembly. Set the rear case aside.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Use the flat edge of a spudger to gently pry the battery connector straight up off the logic board. This cuts power and prevents short circuits.

   Disconnect the display flex cable

   Use fine tweezers or a spudger tip to flip up the small locking flap on the display ZIF connector. Pull the wide ribbon cable gently out of the socket.

   Disconnect the digitizer cable

   Flip open the locking latch on the touch digitizer ZIF connector. Slide the thin ribbon cable straight out.

   Disconnect the speaker connector

   Grasp the speaker wire bundle close to its socket with tweezers. Pull the connector straight out toward the top edge of the board.

   Disconnect the power and volume button flex cable

   Lift the small black retaining lever on the button array connector. Slide the thin ribbon cable out with tweezers.

    Unclip the camera modules

    Disconnect the front and rear camera ribbon cables from their connectors on the motherboard. Lift the camera units out of their recess if needed.

    Remove logic board screws

    Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the small screws holding the motherboard onto the midframe enclosure.

    Lift out the logic board

    Insert a plastic spudger under the edge of the logic board and gently tilt it upward. Lift the board clear of the tablet chassis.

    Position the replacement logic board

    Lower the replacement logic board into the chassis, making sure all ribbon cables remain resting above the board surface.

    Secure the logic board screws

    Reinstall and tighten the Phillips #00 screws to firmly mount the logic board to the frame.

    Reconnect the ribbon cables

    Reinsert the display, digitizer, button flex, and camera cables into their connectors. Lock down all ZIF connector flaps securely.

    Connect the battery cable

    Align the battery press-fit connector over its socket on the motherboard and press down until it snaps in place.

    Snap the back cover closed

    Align the rear case over the tablet frame and press around the perimeter until all plastic clips snap securely shut.
