Power off the tablet

Slide an opening pick along the side seams
3 minWork a plastic opening pick down the left and right sides of the tablet to unhook all remaining frame clips.

Separate the rear cover from the frame

Position the replacement button flex cable
2 minAlign the new button assembly into the frame cutout and press down lightly to adhere it.

Reattach the button bracket
2 minReplace the two Phillips screws to lock the physical button support bracket back in place.

Insert the button ribbon into the ZIF socket
2 minSlide the flex cable fully into the socket and flip the locking tab down to secure it.

Reinstall the motherboard shield
3 minPlace the metal shield over the mainboard and tighten the four Phillips screws.

Reconnect the battery cable
