Eject the MicroSD Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the small hole on the card slot. Remove the tray and set it aside.

Warm the Outer Edges

Peel Up the Old Cable
2 minUse tweezers to peel the adhesive-backed volume button flex cable away from the internal side frame.

Position the Replacement Cable
2 minRemove any protective film from the new volume cable's adhesive back. Press the button assembly firmly into the frame slot.

Lock the ZIF Connector
2 minInsert the end of the new ribbon cable into the ZIF socket. Flip the black locking flap down to secure it.

Reattach the Metal Bracket
2 minPlace the metal cover back over the connector and tighten the two Phillips #00 screws.

Reconnect the Battery Cable
1 minPress the battery connector press-fit plug straight down into its motherboard socket until it clicks.

Snap the Back Cover On
3 minAlign the back cover with the front display assembly. Firmly press around the outer edges until all perimeter clips snap closed.
