   Power off the tablet

   Press and hold the power button until the shutdown prompt appears. Select Power Off and wait for the device to shut down completely.

   Eject the microSD tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the small hole on the microSD card slot. Press firmly to release the tray and remove it.

   Heat the rear cover edges

   Apply gentle heat along the perimeter of the back cover using a heat gun or heated pad for about 1-2 minutes. This softens the internal clips and light adhesive.

   Insert an opening pick

   Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the seam between the display assembly and the rear plastic housing.

   Unclip the top edge

   Slide the pick along the top edge of the tablet to release the plastic retaining clips. Maintain slight upward pressure as you move the pick.

   Pry the side clips

   Continue sliding the pick down both left and right sides of the tablet. Gently pry outward to unhook all peripheral clips.

   Remove the rear cover

   Lift the rear cover straight up and off the inner frame assembly. Set the cover aside in a clean workspace.

   Peel protective tape

   Use fine tweezers to carefully peel back the black electrical tape covering the battery connector and motherboard area.

   Disconnect the battery

   Pry the battery connector straight up from its socket on the motherboard using a plastic spudger. Never use metal tools near the battery connection.

    Unscrew the speaker assembly

    Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the speaker module to the chassis.

    Disconnect speaker flex cable

    Use the edge of a spudger to pop the speaker flex cable connector off its motherboard socket.

    Remove defective speaker

    Gently lift the faulty speaker module up from its housing recess using a plastic opening tool.

    Position new speaker module

    Set the replacement speaker module squarely into the mounting recess on the inner frame.

    Fasten speaker screws

    Reinstall the Phillips #00 screws to hold the speaker securely in place. Take care not to overtighten and strip the plastic threads.

    Connect speaker flex cable

    Align the speaker flex cable connector over its motherboard socket and press down firmly until it clicks.

    Reconnect the battery cable

    Align the battery connector over its socket on the motherboard and press straight down until it snaps into place.

    Smooth down the black protective tape over the battery connector to secure it against vibration.

    Snap rear cover closed

    Align the rear cover with the front display frame. Press firmly along all edges until all plastic clips snap securely into position.
