   Power off the tablet

   Press and hold the power button and select Power Off on the screen. Make sure the screen goes completely black before proceeding.

   Remove the microSD card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small pinhole on the side of the chassis. Push gently until the card tray pops out and remove it.

   Heat the outer rear edges

   Apply heat around the perimeter of the back cover using a heat gun on low setting for two minutes. This softens the internal plastic clips and light perimeter adhesive.

   Create a pry gap

   Attach a suction cup to the lower back cover near the edge and pull up gently. Insert a guitar pick into the resulting seam between the back cover and display frame.

   Unclip the back cover

   Slide the guitar pick around all four edges to release the internal plastic retaining clips. Pry gently until the cover separates completely.

   Remove the back cover

   Lift the rear cover away from the device assembly and place it aside.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Pry the main battery connector straight up from its socket on the logic board using a plastic spudger. This cuts power to prevent short circuits.

   Disconnect the display flex cable

   Flip up the small locking latch on the ZIF connector using a plastic opening tool. Gently pull the display ribbon cable straight out.

   Disconnect the digitizer cable

   Lift the locking flap on the digitizer ribbon cable socket. Slide the touch screen flex cable out of the logic board connector.

    Disconnect camera cables

    Pry the front and rear camera flex connectors straight up from the motherboard using a spudger.

    Unplug the speaker wiring

    Disconnect the left and right speaker wiring harnesses from their sockets on the motherboard using fine tweezers.

    Remove logic board screws

    Unscrew the Phillips #00 screws holding the logic board to the frame. Keep track of screw positions using a magnetic mat.

    Remove the old logic board

    Gently lift the logic board out of the housing from the top edge. Ensure all ribbon cables are completely clear of the board during removal.

    Install the replacement logic board

    Set the new logic board into position inside the plastic frame. Align all mounting holes carefully with the frame screw posts.

    Fasten the motherboard screws

    Reinstall the Phillips #00 screws to hold the replacement logic board securely in place. Do not overtighten the screws.

    Reconnect all flex cables

    Reinsert the display, digitizer, camera, and speaker connectors into their respective sockets. Close each ZIF connector locking flap securely.

    Reconnect the battery cable

    Press the battery connector down into its socket on the motherboard until it snaps into place.

    Reattach the rear cover

    Align the rear cover with the chassis and press firmly along all edges. Listen for the plastic clips snapping back into position.
