Safety
- Wear safety glasses to protect your eyes if the glass back panel is cracked.

Step-by-step

Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the Power button, then select Power Off. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

Eject SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the top edge of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it.

Heat Rear Glass
3 minApply a heated iOpener or heat gun around the edges of the back cover for 2–3 minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
2 minPlace a suction cup on the lower portion of the rear glass and pull upward gently to create a slight gap.

Insert Opening Pick
2 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created between the rear glass and the metal frame.

Slice Rear Adhesive
5 minCarefully slide the opening pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the waterproof seal.

Disconnect Fingerprint Cable
2 minSlightly lift the rear glass cover and use tweezers to detach the short fingerprint sensor flex cable.

Remove Rear Glass
1 minLift the rear glass panel completely off the device frame and set it aside in a safe location.

Unscrew Upper Housing
2 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the five screws securing the top wireless charging pad assembly.

Remove Upper Housing
2 minPry up the edges of the wireless charging pad assembly with a plastic spudger and lift it out of the chassis.

Unscrew Speaker Assembly
2 minRemove the six Phillips #00 screws holding the loudspeaker module in place at the bottom of the phone.

Remove Old Loudspeaker
2 minInsert a spudger beneath the loudspeaker enclosure and lever it up to free it from the phone frame.

Install New Loudspeaker
2 minAlign the replacement loudspeaker assembly with the bottom cavity and press it flat until it seats correctly.

Secure Speaker Screws
2 minReinstall and tighten the six Phillips #00 screws to lock the loudspeaker module into place.

Reinstall Upper Housing
2 minPosition the top antenna and wireless charging pad assembly over the motherboard and snap it down.

Secure Upper Screws
2 minFasten the five Phillips #00 screws into the upper housing assembly.

Connect Fingerprint Sensor
2 minHold the rear cover near the frame and reconnect the fingerprint sensor ribbon cable to the motherboard logic board.

Reseal Rear Glass
4 minApply new pre-cut adhesive strips to the frame edges, lower the rear glass onto the phone, and press firmly around all borders.
