   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the Power button until the options menu appears, then tap Power Off.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM ejector tool or paperclip into the hole at the top edge to pop out the tray. Remove the SIM card and micro SD tray completely.

   Heat the rear glass

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the perimeter of the back cover for about 2 to 3 minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the rear panel.

   Attach a suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower half of the heated rear glass. Pull up gently on the suction cup to create a small gap along the edge.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Carefully slide the pick around the edges to cut through the glue, avoiding deep insertion near the camera.

   Disconnect the fingerprint sensor

   Slightly lift the right edge of the rear glass like a book. Use a spudger to gently disconnect the short fingerprint sensor flex cable located next to the rear camera.

   Remove the back glass

   Lift the rear panel completely off the device frame and set it aside. Clean off any residual adhesive around the glass perimeter.

   Unscrew the upper midframe

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 11 screws securing the top wireless charging pad and midframe assembly.

   Remove the wireless charging coil

   Pry up the top edge of the wireless charging assembly using a plastic spudger. Carefully unclip and lift the entire pad away from the phone.

    Unscrew the speaker enclosure

    Remove the 5 Phillips #00 screws holding the bottom loudspeaker assembly to the frame.

    Detach the loudspeaker

    Insert a spudger under the top edge of the speaker module and pry upward to loosen it. Lift the loudspeaker out of the phone body.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery press connector straight up off the motherboard. This prevents short circuits during further disassembly.

    Disconnect screen and board cables

    Unplug the display flex cable, front camera, headphone jack, and lower daughterboard connectors from the mainboard.

    Unscrew the motherboard

    Remove the single Phillips #00 screw securing the top portion of the main motherboard to the frame.

    Lift out the motherboard

    Gently lift the motherboard from the top edge and tilt it out of the chassis. Be careful not to snag any remaining connected ribbon cables.

    Disconnect lower antenna coax cables

    Use fine tweezers or a spudger to unclip the blue and white coaxial antenna cables from the charging port sub-board.

    Remove the charging port assembly

    Pry up the charging port daughterboard assembly from the bottom housing using a spudger. Soften resistant adhesive with a drop of isopropyl alcohol if necessary.

    Install the new charging port

    Align the replacement charging port assembly into the bottom slot and press it down firmly to adhere. Reconnect all internal cables and reassemble in reverse order.
