   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before starting.

   Remove the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the top edge of the phone. Push firmly to eject the tray, then remove it.

   Heat the rear glass panel

   Apply heat around the outer edges of the rear glass with a heat gun for 2 minutes. This softens the factory adhesive.

   Attach the suction cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower portion of the rear glass near the bottom edge. Press down to secure a strong vacuum seal.

   Create an opening gap

   Pull up on the suction cup to lift the rear glass slightly away from the frame. Insert an opening pick into the gap.

   Slice the bottom adhesive

   2 min

   Slide the opening pick across the bottom edge to slice through the adhesive seal. Leave the pick inserted to keep the gap open.

   Slice the left edge adhesive

   2 min

   Insert a second pick and slide it along the left edge toward the top corner. Do not insert the pick deeper than 3 mm.

   Slice the right edge adhesive

   Slide an opening pick carefully along the right edge of the rear glass to sever the adhesive.

   Slice the top edge adhesive

   Cut through the adhesive along the top edge of the glass using an opening pick. Take care near the camera housing area.

    Lift the rear glass panel

    Gently swing the right edge of the rear glass open like a book cover. Do not remove it completely yet.

    Disconnect the fingerprint sensor cable

    Use a plastic spudger to snap off the fingerprint sensor ribbon cable located near the rear camera. Remove the back cover.

    Unscrew the upper housing bracket

    Remove the eleven Phillips #00 screws securing the top antenna frame and wireless charging pad.

    Pry up the antenna housing

    Insert the flat end of a spudger under the top edge of the plastic antenna housing and pop it free.

    Remove the wireless charging pad

    Peel the flexible wireless charging pad off the battery and chassis, then remove it from the phone.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Use a plastic spudger to pry the battery flex cable straight up from its motherboard socket.

    Remove the loudspeaker module

    Pry up the plastic loudspeaker assembly from the bottom of the frame and lift it out.

    Apply adhesive remover

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol into the gaps around the battery perimeter.

    Pry out the battery

    Insert a plastic pry tool beneath the right side of the battery. Slowly pry upward to break the underlying adhesive.

    Clean the battery recess

    Wipe away remaining adhesive residue inside the metal frame using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.

    Apply new battery adhesive

    Place pre-cut adhesive strips into the battery recess inside the phone chassis.

    Install the replacement battery

    Press the new battery firmly into the recess, making sure it sits flush against the housing.

    Reconnect the battery cable

    Align the battery flex connector over its socket and press down firmly until it clicks into place.
